Our Itinerary:
Across our two travel days, you will explore the incredible sites of Africa with a vibrant community of creatives.
We’ll be immersing ourselves in the local culture, going on virtual safari tours, and popping into local restaurants to taste the local food specialties. We’ll provide simple art material lists and meal ideas for you to be able to prepare recipes at home that capture the gourmet sensations of Africa.
We’ll even make wine recommendations for each of the local areas that go perfectly with the food. For 30mins after our travel days, we will wine and dine together on Zoom!
Most of all, you will receive personal tuition in art, just like on an in-person art retreat, from a kind and generous tutor. You will be amazed at what you learn, and what you’ll create in your very own art travel journal over the two days of fun.
Day 1
Etosha National Park, Namibia
Embark on an artistic safari adventure as we journey to the heart of Etosha National Park, one of Africa’s most breathtaking wildlife sanctuaries.
Immerse yourself in the raw beauty of Namibia’s landscapes, capturing the essence of horned beasts with quick pencil studies before bringing them to life in vibrant watercolors.
Unleash your creativity as we explore further, sketching playful haryx, elegant flamingoes, and the mesmerizing dunes – all while honing your skills with charcoal and paint.
Day 2
Kruger National Park, South Africa
Venture into the heart of Kruger National Park, where your artistic journey meets the thrill of spotting the legendary Big 5: Buffalo, Elephant, Leopard, Lion, and Rhino.
Capture the raw power of Satara’s lions and Letaba’s gentle elephant herds, honing your wildlife art techniques amidst breathtaking African landscapes.
Bring zebras to life with vibrant watercolors and immerse yourself in the diverse wildlife of the plains, creating lasting masterpieces of your adventure.

Discover how easily you can sketch animals and landscapes (even if you can’t draw a stick figure!) with a ton of artists’ tricks that you’ll learn! Step by step, you’ll understand how to start a new sketch from scratch, and how easy it is to turn it into a delightful watercolour painting in your journal.
Whether you’re a total beginner or even an experienced artist, you will grow your skills and learn how to draw and paint on location. Everyone will find make drawing and painting realistic art so fun and easy.
Then you’ll learn how to make your drawings jump off the page with shadows, highlights and all sorts of insider artist techniques.
