A taste of Switzerland… from Home!
The smooth, silky chocolate we all love is thanks to the Swiss chocolate pioneers. Their experimentations led to the creation of milk chocolate, white chocolate and chocolates filled with nougat, nuts, fondant and other fun additions.

- ½ cup Swiss cocoa
or Swiss dark chocolate, grated
- ½ cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 4 cups of milk
- 1 stick on cinnamon
or ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pour the milk, water, cocoa powder (if using grated chocolate, add in next step), sugar, cinnamon and salt into a pan and bring just to the boil.
Remove from heat. (If using gradted chocolate, stir in until melted). Pour the hot chocolate milk carefully into 4 tall glasses or mugs. Add more sugar if required to taste.
Garnish with whipped cream and cocoa powder. Serve immediately. Enjoy for breakfast with a healthy bowl of Swiss birchermüesli.
